What do I need for my new gaming room?

I'm Saving up and my dad has agreed that I can turn the spare room into a gaming/multimedia room. I have a wii and I'm saving for an xbox 360, ive found the perfect tv. Can anyone reccomend a good surround sound system for upto £40? Do you reccomend any other things for a great games room?

What do I need for my new gaming room?
I would pass on the sound system for now and purchase a bigger HD television. Depending on the size of your room, I think a better television would be more important than the sound system at this point (always upgrade later). Finding a cheap 24-32" monitor shouldn't be that hard, and your eyes will appreciate it (plus you won't have to sit so close and friends could play too).

They are overated by a long way....Just because Bose is biggest speaker manufacturer in the world doesnt make them the best.....GM is the biggest car builder....not the best!





I use Speakercraft speakers all the time.


Save for a Onkyo receiver...wont be dissapointed.
Reply:Logitech makes good setups, and I have some decent speakers that are Altec Lansing. I'm not sure about the conversion, but you should be able to get decent gaming speakers for 70 - 90 USD. Check your chain electronic stores, or even dedicated gaming stores like EB or Gamecrazy.
Reply:Don't know how much they cost, but save long enough to get the BOSE sound system. It's all you will ever need.
