do pictures taken outdoors or indoors come out better?

Polaroid cameras?
The questions are subjective and it all depends on what your needs are. I used to have 1 or 2 boxes (10 or 20 pictures) Polaroid pictures whenever I have a party. It gets people in the FUN mood of having the picture come out right there. Most of that is my taken away by the LCD of the digital camera. People are not that "impressed" with seeing photographic images immediately anymore.

And Polaroid "film" quite expensive (about $1 per photo or more).

The camera takes better picture OUTDOORS. The reason is that the lens have to focus the light on to a large area (the whole area of the picture). So the light becomes diluted (sort of to speak of). So more light you have the better. The on camera flash is OK but it gives that familiar "dear caught in the headlight" look.

But if you decide to get a Polaroid camera, DON'T shake (fan) the picture while developing. That's a bad habit from the days when Polaroids used be peeled apart and needed drying. It says on the box not to do so but everybody seems to be illiterate.

Good Luck

Reply:Polaroids generally do not have a self timer, and are better taking pictures indoors. Remember the cartridge for them are quite expensive, I have one and it costs £10. for a cartridge
Reply:that model does not have a self timer. and it's pretty sucky. there are some nice models of polaroids. the polaroid 'land' cameras are the best but hard to come by. some of those have self-timers.

check antique stores or goodwill type stores. i've found several that were just castoff for very cheap.
Reply:Self timer would depend on the model I'm sure. film can be a bit pricey also. The only advantage of a Polaroid camera is having the pictures right there when you take it. i would recommend an in-expensive digital camera, you will be able to view your pics on the LCD screen, you can load them onto your computer so no developing, you can choose the ones you want to print and other than buying a flash card or two you never have to buy film. Plus you can get them small enough to fit in you pocket.
