Hi is this a hd tv?
Well, it says High Definition compatible... means that you still need to get a High-Definition equipment - like a box to convert your normal tv signals from the 'wall' to plug into your High Definition compatible TV, so as to convert your images to HD. You can check out: http://www.hdtvmagazine.com/equipment/in... for more info on such equipments.

Reply:It depends on your definition of HD.

This TV is HD Ready, meaning it has a horizontal screen resolution over 720 lines. However, full HD resolution is 1080 lines.

There's a lot of discussion over whether HD Ready TVs can be described as HD. They certainly have higher definition than standard TVs, and as such they have a much better picture, and they are compatible with full HD media, even if they can't display it at full resolution.
Reply:no its not if anybody says it is then there stupid. so no its not a HDTV
Reply:yes it is by all information. it has the hd resolution and it has the hd inputs dvi and component so yes i say it is .
Reply:yes
Reply:Yes, it says HD compatible. So if you subscribed to an HD package / got an HD box you'd be able to watch hi def stuff through it.
