A. only you
B Inertia
C static Friction
D kinetic friction
You try to move a couch across the floor but it dosent move. what is the other force acting on the couch?
Static Friction
Reply:it is C because the couch is not actually moving. This is Newton III in play.
It is not A, B or D in any way at all.
Reply:D.D.D.D.D.D.D.
Reply:"Other" than your own force, the only other force acting on the unmoving (static) couch is static friction. If you got it moving (kinetic), then you would be pushing against kinetic friction. Inertia is not a force. It is a property of matter. "Only you" is not other than you. It is you.
Reply:its c or d i think d but im not sure.
Reply:It's not A obviously, since something is stopping it from moving.
It's not B obviously, since inertia is not a force.
It is C
It's not D since it's not yet moving.
Reply:none
the awnser is gravity
Reply:B
