Which of the following refers to a static muscle contraction?

A. Isotonic

B. Isometric

C. Isokinetic

D. Eccentric

Which of the following refers to a static muscle contraction?
Well I am not quite sure what they mean by static. My first quess would be the answer B. The term Iso means "the same" and metric means "measure" so isometric is muscle contraction with no change of length. This would be like pushing against a solid wall. Isotonic means muscle contraction with the same tone. The only way to accomplish this is for the muscle to contract and shorten, like bending your finger. My money is on B.
