My friend needs headphones(to talk etc) for his PS3,


Do they need to be USB?





I thought you could just connect via the TV

Hate to say it, but you are both wrong. It uses wireless bluetooth on most of the headsets that Sony recognizes will work. You do not want wires anyway... There are USB ones available, but they suck. If you have a bluetooth headset for your cell phone see if the PS3 will pick it up. Mine did!!





Missed the link... Nope. They need to work woith a PS2. If they work for a PS2 they will work woth the PS3, but try your cell phone one first.
Reply:You can use blue tooth headsets, which connect to the ps3, or you can use a usb headset which also connects to the ps3.





I wouldn't advise buying any on the site you selected.





For blue tooth go with Jabra or motorolla.





For usb go with logitech.

one for you cell will do fine it will take one of the 7 controller ports. just turn it on and scan for device using the home menu.
Reply:you use blouthooth headsets, and no you dotn hook them to your tv
Reply:I use the Jabra BT250 I think, it's blutooth so it connects wirelessly to the PS3. You can, however, set your audio output to be your tv speakers rather then the earpiece.
